The Aizu lacquer ware is a Japanese traditional craft that represented Aizu region in Fukushima Prefecture. It has 400 years history and upholds great skills of craftsman, which are highly evaluated.
From 2007, for further development of Aizu lacquer ware, we are producing the new brand called BITOWA fusing the modern design and traditional lacquer techniques.
BITOWA means literally “Beauty and Harmony” in Japanese and it is the basic concept of this brand.
